Cruising

When I went on my first Disney Cruise last year, I was very nervous about the late February weather interfering with my flight. So after doing some research, I decided to fly into Orlando the night before and stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport. This is a beautiful hotel located right inside Terminal B. No external transportation needed! Literally a brief walk and an elevator ride up to the front desk:)

The next morning we woke up to a relaxing breakfast overlooking the runway while the bellhop took our checked bags and gave them to Disney Cruise Line. We found our bags later in the day outside our stateroom on the Disney Wonder. Easy! All we had to do after breakfast was check out of the Hyatt and walk downstairs to the Disney Cruise Line check in area. We were then transported to the cruise terminal at Port Canaveral. And it turns out the weather back home was inclement the day of my cruise departure so coming the night before was smart.

Now if you have more than a night to spare, there are also hotels located in the Port Canaveral area, some of which have great amenities including free shuttles to any of the cruise terminals. This is a great time to relax by the pool before your cruise and/or visit the Kennedy Space Center. You can also consider adding on some time at the Walt Disney World Resort. We did this after our cruise.
